BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The left-hand part of this section is occupied by the Causcasus Mountains, which lie on the boundary of Mare Imbrium and Mare Serenitatis. The north-western part of Mare Serenitatis with its bright rays from crater Aristillus (Section 12) is situated at the base of this section. The large crater Eudoxus forms a striking companion to Aristoteles (Section 5). Refer to your Antonin Rukl lunar atlas chart, page 53.
