BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The western limb of the Moon and western edge of Oceanus
Procellarum. The observer using a large telescope will be
attracted by the clefts in the floor of crater Hevelius. Here also
lies the unique formation Reiner Gamma . The region also contains
the landing site of Luna 9 which made the first soft landing on the
Moon.
