BRIEF DESCRIPTION
47.3_N_159.8_W
Ridge Section 089 is Montgolfier, named after an 88-km lunar impact crater located in the northern hemisphere on the lunar Far Side. To the south is Woltjer and southwest of Montgolfier is the crater Scheller. The entire southern rim of Montgolfier has been overlain by a cluster of four smaller craters. The remaining rim has been worn by smaller impacts, leaving a somewhat uneven perimeter that is overlain by some small craterlets. The interior floor is pitted by several small and tiny craterlets, and lacks a central peak.  (Credit: Some of the information used in the section feature descriptions was obtained from wikipedia.org. Section 089 and this directory was created by Fran Ridge and Ned Haskin of The Lunascan Project).
