Mendeleev, the huge walled plain that straddles the corners of
four sections on the lunar Far Side, protrudes into the SW corner
of Section 106, but mostly resides in Section 116. But Fischer,
the subject of this section, is a small, 30 km crater, that lies
in the northeastern part of this walled plain. Fischer has a
slender, circular rim and an interior that has the same low albedo
as the surrounding floor. There is a smaller impact crater within
the interior, adjacent to the northwestern inner wall. The rim and
the floor of Fischer are pitted by several tiny craterlets.

descriptions was obtained from wikipedia.org. Section 106 and this
directory was created by Fran Ridge and Ned Haskin of The Lunascan
      Project).
